A whale is any wallet or entity that holds enough crypto to move the market. When they move - you want to know about it before the price chart shows it.

The simple definition

In crypto, a whale is a wallet holding a large amount of coins - large enough that their transactions create visible ripples in the market. There is no fixed threshold, but for Bitcoin the term typically applies to wallets holding 1,000 BTC or more. For altcoins it scales down accordingly.

What makes whales important is not just their size - it is their on-chain visibility. Every transfer they make is recorded on the blockchain forever. Our bot tracks transfers above $500K and fires an alert the moment they happen.

Why it matters to you

01
Early signal
Whale moves often happen before price reacts. Seeing a $50M exchange inflow gives you time to reconsider open positions.
02
Context for price action
When BTC drops 3%, check if there was a large exchange inflow first. If yes - the drop was likely supply-driven, not panic.
03
Sentiment check
Consistent outflows over days = institutions accumulating. Consistent inflows = distribution phase. Long-term trend signal.
