VeThor (VTHO)

VeThor Token (VTHO) is the gas token of VeChainThor, a public Layer-1 blockchain designed for real-world enterprise and consumer applications. VeChainThor uses a dual-token economic model. VET is the network’s native asset and staking collateral, while VTHO is used to pay for transactions, smart-contract execution and other onchain operations. Separating these functions allows network-fee parameters to be managed independently from the market price of VET. Following the Hayabusa mainnet upgrade in December 2025, VTHO is no longer generated passively by simply holding VET.
